Botherlands 1.0.0 is out!

After several weeks of iteration, testing, and refinement, Botherlands version 1.0.0 is officially released.

What started as a small prototype built for my Epic Waste of Time devlog series has evolved into a fully-fledged mobile game, redesigned from the ground up with mobile platforms in mind.

What’s in 1.0.0?

The 1.0.0 release marks the first complete and stable version of Botherlands, featuring:

  • Fast-paced top-down combat with responsive controls

  • A risk–reward weapon vending machine system

  • Randomized weapons that scale with player investment

  • Meta-progression via floppy disks

  • Infinite difficulty scaling per stage

  • Trophy-based challenges and leaderboards

  • Fully reworked UI, balance, and performance for mobile devices

What’s Next?

While this is the 1.0.0 release, Botherlands will continue to evolve. I’ll be monitoring player feedback closely and improving balance, progression, and overall polish in future updates.
